The ceramics experience will take place at a ceramics studio in Leeds.

Length of experience
The ceramics taster experience lasts approximately 2 hours with 15 minutes for refreshments at the beginning of each session.

What you need to know
This experience is for adults (18+) only.

This experience is available on evenings or on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon when the shop is closed to the public.

How much will it cost?
The ceramics taster experience for 8 people costs £320 (£40 per person) and includes all materials, refreshments and post production firings and glazing.

The small print
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Sunken Studio Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by those booked to attend an event:
Cancellation of attendance by individuals or groups can be done by contacting Sunken Studio. Contact Sunken Studio at least 7 days prior to the event to be entitled to receive a 70% refund. Those who cancel their attendance within 7 days of the event, for whatever reason, will receive a 50% refund. Those who fail to attend, for whatever reason, will not receive a refund.

Cancellation by Sunken Studio:
Sunken Studio reserves the right to cancel an event at its sole discretion. If the minimum number of attendees for a workshop is not reached, it is likely that the workshop will be cancelled. In the event of such a cancellation Sunken Studio will refund the value of the booking.

The Studio expressly excludes any liability for any direct or indirect losses or damages arising as a result of such cancellation and will not, for example, be responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred. In the event of cancellation, Sunken Studio will inform those booked to attend the event by email and/or telephone.

Sunken Studio host specialist, attentive and satisfying ceramics and pottery making experiences for gatherings of eight at our partner venue Maud’s House in Skipton. Sessions are fully hands-on and result in great pots to keep or share. We strive to ensure your time with us is an insightful and enjoyable experience.

Our Ceramics Tasters are snappy workshops designed to whet your appetite. They are two hours long and are often inspired by, or respond to, observances and celebrations throughout the year.



Your taster will include:

  • Materials
  • Refreshments
  • Post production costs: firings and glazing (where needed).
  • Postage is not included.

Finished works, fired and glazed (where needed), will be available for collection from Maud’s House within 28 days after the session. If you are unable to collect we can arrange for your work to be delivered for £10 per address.

The ceramics taster experience for 8 people is a pottery workshop run by ceramicist Rebecca Catterall of Sunken Studio. Rebecca has been working with clay for over 25 years.

Rebecca is a fully qualified and experienced tutor and has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. She has received several prizes and awards for her work. Rebecca has devised and delivered creative programs in a range of educational settings, both formal and informal.

All the Sunken Studio ceramics packages include access to a wide range of custom-made tools and resources that have been designed, and made, by Sunken Studio.
