Craft Beer Tour of Leeds for Two People

Join Mike from Leeds Beer Tours and explore the wonderfully vibrant craft beer culture in Leeds. The perfect gift for the beer lover in your life. Learn about beer in Leeds City Centre and enjoy sampling at least ten tasty craft beers along the way, all included in the price.

The meeting place is Nomadic Beers brewery. This is one of Leeds’ leading micro-breweries, specialising in craft beer inspired by traditional styles. At this stop, see the brew kit, learn about the brewing process, and sample some of Nomadic Beers’ brews, right from the source.

The second stop is Brew York New Briggate, Leeds’ taproom for York-based brewery, Brew York. Founded in 2016, Brew York is one of Yorkshire’s leading craft breweries and in Brew York New Briggate guests learn more about beer styles, how and why they differ, whilst enjoying some of Brew York’s leading edge craft brews.

From Brew York the group walks to the Turk’s Head, the craft beer sister bar of neighbouring 300 year old Whitelocks. Here the tour guide talks through the modern history of beer whilst tour guests enjoy sampling different pioneering craft beer styles.

The final stop is Friends of Ham. Opened in 2012, this has been one of Leeds’ trail-blazing craft beer bars of the last ten years. Here the tour guide will talk guests through some of the modern craft beers Friends of Ham has to offer. After the tour finishes here, guests will be able to stay a little longer if they wish with food also available (not included in the tour price).

During the tour, guests will be given at least ten different beers to try, varying in styles and strengths and ranging from tasters from sharing bottles to third or half-pint measures. Guests won’t go dry on this expedition of craft beer in Leeds.

Craft Beer Tour of Leeds for Two People

The Craft Beer Tour of Leeds for Two People is run by Beer Evangelist and founder of Leeds Beer Tours, Mike.

Mike is passionate about beer! Not just the drink itself but its role in heritage, society and culture. The story of beer is a fascinating one nowhere more so than in Leeds, where there is a rich beer history and a fantastically vibrant, modern and independent craft beer scene.

Mike has been professionally trained by the Beer and Cider Academy and is a member of the British Guild of Beer Writers and Brewery History Society, founder of Festival of Brewers and National Coordinator for Tryanuary.

He first set up his tours in 2019 to share his knowledge of beer with other people and to take them on a fun and interesting journey. Less than a year later, he was awarded the Leeds and West Yorkshire Prestige Award for Specialist Tour Company of the Year 2020.
