The Lampshade Making Experience is held at Get Cooking Cookery School, 43a Springfield Centre, Bagley lane, Farsley, Leeds LS28 5LY.

Length of experience
The course runs on selected dates and will start at 1pm and end at approximately 4pm.

What you need to know
Please inform the school on booking your course of anything you would like them to be aware of such as any disability/impairment or dietary requirements.

The course is designed for adults and young people over 16.

How much will it cost?
The Lampshade Making Workshop with Afternoon Tea will cost £50.

To have a boxed and gift wrapped voucher sent by post will cost an additional £3.50.

Lampshade Making Workshop with Afternoon Tea in Leeds


This is a simply delightful crafting afternoon where you will create your own custom made lampshade with expert tuition from Ali Dwight of Wooden Wedge Upholstery.  In just two hours you will have made your own unique lampshade and also go home armed with the skills to make more. Ali, a professional upholsterer, will provide you with everything you need, including some lovely materials such as Liberty fabrics and interesting bottles you might like to use as lamp stands. Don’t worry about the level of skill needed, Ali will guide you through the process and ensure you go home with a stunning lampshade. After a busy afternoon crafting you’ll round the session off with a delicious light afternoon tea. Lovely!

The premises are completely wheelchair accessible with adjustable work spaces for wheelchair users.

Emily’s believes that food and cooking are one of life’s great pleasures and should be enjoyed and shared and this really comes across in her passion for food and teaching others how to create dishes they can easily re-create at home.

Emily runs a range of cookery courses including healthy eating and bread making.
