An one to one art voucher for private tuition with artist Richard Kitson is the perfect gift for any art lover.

Private tuition is a unique way to develop your creative skills on a 1-to-1 basis with a professional artist. Whilst workshops are brilliant for learning and sharing ideas with other artists, private tuition allows you to really focus on your individual creative journey in a lesson tailor made to you.

Richard’s private lessons cover the same themes as his workshops but additional subject matter and media can be introduced. For example, if you are a beginner artist, Richard can teach you a beginner’s guide to drawing before you develop into painting. It really does depend on what you want to do. Richard can cover most subject matter and media within the realms of Still Life, Landscape and Portraiture.

All materials and equipment are provided as well as refreshments but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Alternatively, there are a range of cafés in the town centre with excellent food options, please ask for recommendations.

Richard paints, draws and makes etchings in his studio in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. He is an accomplished artist, primarily known for his portraiture and figurative works which often depict family members and friends.

Richard delivers his exclusive painting and drawing workshops at his studio in Barnsley town centre.

In 2018 Kitson participated in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year where he painted Paralympic athlete Kadeena Cox MBE at the Wallace Collection in London.
