What to expect:
Your tour begins with a warm welcome and complimentary cold or hot drinks.
Meet your Captain who will talk to you about the route and the local weather conditions.
He’ll show you the plan on an interactive iPad, so you know all the best features to look out for. During the flight, the aircrat position will be displayed so you can see exactly where you are!
Walk out to the aircraft and after a short safety brief you’ll be on your way.
Depart South towards Northallerton, passing Thirsk on your right, the Cleveland Hills and Sutton Bank on your left.
Have your camera ready to get shots of York, including the Minster, the train station, and river.
Your Captain will then fly you north toward Helmsley and over the Cleveland Hills passing Roseberry Topping and the Billsdale TV Mast.
Head North towards Yarm before landing back at Teesside International Airport.

Length of experience The York Minster Pleasure Flight will include 50 minutes of flying time. You will need to allow additional time beforehand to meet your captain and run through a safety briefing.
What you need to know Please note that all persons flying will need to bring valid photo identification for security – either photocard driving licence or passport. Children under 16 years of age may use their original birth certificate.
The maximum combined weight limit for up to 3 passengers is 40 stone (560 lbs).
There are certain restrictions that prevent flying, these are; icy conditions, high winds, low visibility and low cloud base. However, if your flight is cancelled due to the weather it will be re-booked at a later date.
Flying whilst pregnant after 28 weeks is not permitted due to the difficulty in manoeuvring into / out of the aircraft.
For women wanting to fly between 24-28 weeks, they will need to bring a letter from their GP or Midwife advising that they are having a healthy pregnancy and that they are happy for them to undertake this type of activity.
