Spoon Carving Workshop

Come and spend a day with Stuart at Heritage Craft Courses learning to make your own spoon.  See it transform from a block of wood to the finished utensil.  A whole day with a skilled woodland craftsman.  Beginners can explore their potential.  You will be guided through choosing wood, cutting and cleaning, basic axe skills and simple knife skills and carving techniques as well as tool care, sharpening and honing.  You will also learn how to “read the wood”, ie how to sculpt it into the desired spoon shape as the wood will allow.  A day not to be forgotten!
