This is an unusual and memorable gift for a group of up to 5 people who would love spending time together in a peaceful, magical setting learning new and transferable skills under Wolf’s gentle guidance. The group can include children aged 14 and over.
Held in exclusive woodland which boasts a range of facilities to ensure an enjoyable experience whatever the weather, this is a totally hands-on experience aimed at adults. Learn about life in the forest and some invaluable survival skills under the expert guidance of an experienced bushcraft instructor.
The experience includes:
- Fire Lighting. Learn how to successfully light a fire.
- Wildlife Exploration. Discover the secret life of the forest’s flora and fauna.
- Shelter. Construct a survival shelter entirely from natural materials.
We would particularly recommend this experience for a family group, a group of friends, or as an alternative ‘hen do’ activity. We are also able to tailor this experience, for instance to cater for larger groups, or for longer durations with additional activities.
Once purchased, you will need to contact Forest Quest to arrange a mutually acceptable date and time for your experience, we recommend planning ahead to secure your preferred date. Forest Quest will also provide further details including directions to the wood and what to wear.

The Forest Experience – Two Hour Bushcraft Experience near York
The Forest Experience is delivered by Forest Quest who have a woodland setting established for the purpose of instructing a range of bushcraft skills. The wood is on New Parks Estate just off the A19 near Huby, York.
Forest Quest is a family run Company led by instructor Wolf who is absolutely passionate about passing on valuable life-skills and encouraging a sense of well-being through practical activities in a woodland setting.
The Forest experience take place in picturesque woodland just off the A19 near Huby, on the outskirts of North York.
The experience is a 2 hour session.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.
Maximum of 5 participants. Whilst aimed at adults, children over the age of 14 may be included in the group.
A two hour bushcraft session costs £140 for up to 5 adults (or young people aged 14 and over).
To have a boxed and gift wrapped voucher sent by post will cost an additional £3.50.
