I’m Rachel, the founder of Uniquely Local, and I run the business with the support of an incredible team of freelancers and independent Yorkshire businesses.
Back in 2016, my friend Ema and I had a simple idea: to bring together all the amazing experience providers in Yorkshire who deserved more recognition. We wanted to create a marketplace of handpicked experiences – ones we’d be thrilled to give or receive ourselves.

Uniquely Local has always been about more than just gifts. We’re here to champion small businesses, celebrate Yorkshire, and make it easy for people to create lasting memories. We don’t do discounts or mass-market deals – just authentic, high-quality experiences from passionate local providers.
