Founded in 2016, Uniquely Local began with a simple idea: to bring together the brilliant experience providers across Yorkshire who deserved more recognition. To create a marketplace of carefully chosen experiences – ones that the team would be genuinely pleased to give or receive themselves.
From the beginning, Uniquely Local has been about more than just gifts. It exists to champion small businesses, celebrate local independents and make it easier for people to create lasting memories through meaningful experiences. Every experience is chosen with care, with a focus on quality, authenticity and supporting the people behind the businesses.
In 2026, Rachel decided to join Shaun and Vicki and become part of the Days of Your Life Group. Together they’re building on the original vision of supporting local businesses, offering a thoughtful alternative to mass-market gifting, and helping people discover unique experiences close to home.
