You will be transported back in time as you explore the city’s iconic breweries and pubs with your host Mike. Each historic venue has its own fascinating story and character. Find out how venues such as The Tetley, The Adelphi, The Lamb and Flag, The White Swan and Whitelocks have contributed to the industry and shaped the city.

What to expect:

What will I get? You will receive a voucher to book a Heritage Pub Tour of Leeds Two People.

Anything I should know?

 

    • Unfortunately, not all venues have step-free access and are therefore not wheelchair friendly.
    • The tour is for over-18s only. Many of the venues operate a Challenge 25 policy, which means if you’re fortunate to look younger than 25, please make sure you have ID with you.
    • The tour includes periods of walking between venues. The longest walk is approx. 15 minutes. Please dress weather appropriately.
    • Please note that the tour itinerary is subject to change, depending on venue availability.

 

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

Tours of Leeds founder Mike Hampshire stood inside Leeds Corn Exchange.The Heritage Pub Tour of Leeds Two People is run by Tours of Leeds founder and heritage pub enthusiast, Mike.

Mike is passionate about Leeds and pubs and has combined the two to tell the fascinating story of the city’s rich pub and brewing heritage.

Mike is the current Secretary for the British Guild of Beer Writers, a former chair for the Leeds branch of the Campaign for Real Ale and has helped operate a pub, a craft microbrewery and arranged his own beer festivals.

He started running tours in 2019 and has since picked up four Prestige ‘Yorkshire Specialist Tour Company of the Year’ awards.
