Join Little Skipwith Carriage Rides for a beautiful horse drawn carriage ride around the private grounds of a country estate enjoying a delicious cream tea along the way. Your carriage awaits you on the outskirts of the park in Skipwith village where you will be greeted by your driver Gordon, and one of his carriage horses. Climb aboard your carriage and prepare to take in the views, make yourself comfortable as Gordon and the horses take you on a tour of the woodland tracks and country lanes within the estate. Lucky visitors may spot a glimpse of deer or buzzards. Suitable for all the family, carriages can accommodate up to 5 people (afternoon cream tea is for 2 people). Price is per carriage not per person.
There is an open top carriage for the warmer months and when the weather is wet or cold you will have a carriage which is enclosed with windows so you can still enjoy your ride. The closed carriage will have fluffy blankets and cushions and hot water bottles if needed.
Carriage rides last approximately one hour.
Afternoon Cream Tea includes:
- Selection of sandwiches or pork pies
- Salad
- Coleslaw
- Cornish clotted cream and scone with strawberry jam
- Selection of mini cakes
- Teas and coffees

The Horse Drawn Carriage Ride with Cream Tea for Two People is offered by Little Skipwith Carriage Rides.
Little Skipwith Carriage Rides is based in Skipwith near Escrick. They offer private bookings for horse drawn carriage rides around the private grounds of a country estate near York. Each carriage holds up to 5 people and they can also cater for private parties up to 10 people per trip.
Horse drawn carriage rides are also available with a deluxe picnic hamper or without refreshments here.
Your experience will begin in Skipwith village.
The experience lasts approximately 1 hours.
