One Hour Private Cruise for up to 12 Guests on Ripon Canal

Enjoy a scenic boat ride on the historic and very pretty Ripon Canal. During your relaxing boat ride you will have your own personal guide who will drive the boat ‘ The Pride of Ripon’ for the duration. Guests can relax aboard and enjoy the scenery and the totally different view point the canals offer. This is a wonderful way to spend an hour, or longer with friends and family enjoying a special occasion, or as a uniquely local experience day.

The boat will travel through down the canal, through a lock – the crew will operate this but you are welcome to learn how to work a traditional broad lock. Before turning at the top of the second lock on the canal and returning to the Canal Basin.

Your party will have the option to choose a hot or cold drink upon arrival. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks on board, and glasses and crockery can be provided. Additional tables with tablecloths can also be arranged upon request, but please notify in advance.

Cruises are available year-round with departure times between 10am and 7pm. During peak season, every effort will be made to accommodate preferred time slots, though availability may be limited due to regular operating hours. Cruises are available on weekends, but the boat cannot operate after dark, so off-peak departure times may be adjusted accordingly.

For special occasions, the boat can be decorated if arranged in advance. Dogs are welcome on board but must be kept on a short lead.

Free parking is available at the meeting point, and guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before boarding. Life jackets are available for younger guests weighing up to 30kg.

There is no toilet on board, but facilities are available at the office (not wheelchair accessible) and 15 minutes into the cruise (wheelchair accessible).

The boat has space for up to two wheelchairs but there are four steps down into the boat with a handrail for support.
