A fantastic stay at home experience for cheese lovers. Join Andy Swinscoe from The Courtyard Dairy as he guides you through six of the very best ‘strong and mature’ cheeses, discussing their flavours, what makes them strong and powerful and what you are looking for in this style of cheese.

This online tasting will last one hour and includes 6 x 100g portions of cheese, delivered to your door, which is more than enough for two people to enjoy. The ‘Cheese & wine’ option also includes three premium, expertly curated canned wines from The Banks Brothers which will match perfectly to your cheese.

The cheese tasting session will be delivered online via Zoom. If you can’t make the live session then you can choose to have the recorded session sent to you for enjoying at your leisure.

The cheese featured and introduced on this tasting are traditional rennet and this tasting is therefore not suitable for vegetarians.

The Online Cheese Tasting – Strong & Mature Cheeses : 22 March 2026 is hosted by Andy Swinscoe, owner of award-winning specialist cheese shop and cheese maturer The Courtyard Dairy.

Andy, originally from Cumbria, embarked on a quest to find the finest cheeses available from an early age. Whilst working in restaurants in England and France, and in particular the Edinburgh Balmoral Hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, he further developed his passion for cheese.

Andy and his wife Kathy opened the Courtyard Dairy in 2012, winning Best New Cheese Retailer the following year. In 2017 they launched a Cheese Experience and opened a visitor centre/museum, cafe and cheese making room.
