This isn’t your ordinary finals week. We’re combining the mind-bending puzzles of an escape room with the thrilling adventure of a city-wide treasure hunt. Grab your team of 2-6 fellow witches and wizards and explore the magical city of York, all guided by a handy smartphone app.

The route is 3 km. You will start and finish at a secret start location in the centre of York city
Is the game suitable for children?
The game is designed for age 11+. Under 11s are free.
Is the game accessible?
There are a few locations with steps. The start location has a single step for example. Locations which have flights of stairs do have lifts available

The Outdoor Escape Room in York – Clueniveristy of Magic!! is brought to you by Solve the City. Solve the City are a UK based company who create games that are a cross-over between a treasure hunt and an escape room.
How does it work?
The adventures are inspired by escape rooms (where a team of players collaborate to solve puzzles whilst immersed in a narrative), but they mainly take place outside. They are a bit like treasure hunts and scavenger hunts but full of intriguing puzzles, mysterious props and interactions. There are stories in which you are the central characters; walks around beautiful cities; detective games, and lots of fun!
