Or simply light the wood-burning stove, settle in with a good book and enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful corner of the North York Moors National Park.

The Hut enjoys a unique setting with lovely farmland views across the valley, along with walking and cycling trails into Dalby Forest right from the doorstep. Its location makes it an ideal base for exploring the national park and Yorkshire Coast.

Rather than rushing from place to place, this is the kind of stay that invites you to slow down – whether that’s wandering through Dalby Forest, watching wildlife from the garden, or spending an evening beside the fire beneath a sky full of stars.

Lovingly designed and hand crafted by the owners, The Hut is surprisingly spacious, featuring a full-size double bed, kitchen, dining area, en-suite and wood-burning stove, all within one open-plan space.

There are thoughtful little touches throughout that make this stay feel extra special, from  artwork by local artists, twinkly lights highlighting the curved roof, to an old printers tray hung in the wall filled with nature inspired treasures.

The Hut includes:

• A compact yet well-equipped kitchenette with a gas hob, mini fridge, sink and everything needed for cooking a simple meal.

Outside there is a bbq/fire pit which you are welcome to use (extra wood can be purchased from your hosts). It’s proximity to Dalby Forest, which is known for it’s dark skies, means star gazing is particularly spectacular here.
