Two Night Shepherds Hut Stay North York Moors

This is a lovely glamping getaway package from Gumboots & Wellingtons where you’ll stay for 2 nights in their beautiful shepherds hut. You’ll be treated to scrumptious breakfast supplies (pancakes, home made granola, locally pressed fruit juice, yoghurts and toast) which will set you up perfectly for a day of exploring the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. Alternatively, you can light the log burner, hunker down with a good book and just simply enjoy the peace and quiet of this stunning location.

The shepherd’s hut at Gumboots & Wellingtons is in a unique setting in picturesque Ellerburn with lovely farmland views across the valley. It is within walking/biking distance of Dalby Forest and close enough to enjoy the North York Moors and Yorkshire Coast.

The shepherd’s hut itself is a real gem, well proportioned and surprisingly spacious. Accessed via steps, the hut is open plan with a full sized double bed, kitchen, dining table and wood burning stove all in one space. The shower room is accessed via a door next to the kitchen.

The Hut includes:

• An en-suite shower room with a proper flushing loo.
• A small kitchen with a 2 ring gas hob with all the pots & pans, mini fridge, sink, cutlery, crockery & all utensils you might need.
• A whistling kettle, cafetière and toaster.
• Tea, coffee, milk & sugar are provided.
• Proper central heating as well as a wood burning stove with a basket of wood.
• Bedding.
• A hairdryer.
• A torch & binoculars.
• The use of a bike store.
• Use of the bbq/fire pit (extra wood can be purchased).

There are lots of well thought out details which make it extra special. Books, board games, playing cards and a set of binoculars are provided to help you enjoy your visit, everything you will need to make your stay a real treat.

Outside there is a bbq/fire pit which you are welcome to use (extra wood can be purchased from your hosts). It’s proximity to Dalby Forest, which is known for it’s dark skies, means star gazing is particularly spectacular here.
