This gift experience for one person is a must for any animal loving friends and family. Take a gentle stroll with one of these super-soft and curious alpacas in the stunning Hambleton Hills of North Yorkshire, not far from York.

Your Alpaca walk experience will include meeting the alpacas, a brief chat about alpacas and how to look after your alpacas before taking them on the walk which will cover approximately 1.5 miles along footpaths and grass fields.

The Alpaca walk is also offered as a ‘Family Alpaca Experience’ where 2 adults and up to 4 children share 2 alpacas and a couples alpaca walking experience where 2 adults walk 1 alpaca.

What you need to know

What will I get? You will receive a voucher to redeem against any of the future Alpaca Trekking near York.

Anything I should know?

Children must be 8 years old or over. Participants must be able to walk over a mile on fields and footpaths.

Physical activity:

The farm is on a gentle slope and we walk over grassy tracks and paths. The pace is quite slow, as alpacas like to look round and take in their surroundings. The walks are not suitable for people with walking difficulties or young children. However, farm visits can be arranged by appointment.

Clothing and Equipment:

Waterproof footwear with closed toes is advisable and gloves and scarves on cold days are a must. You are walking in the countryside and the grass may be wet, and some areas can be muddy.

Weather:

We walk if it is drizzling or light rain but not if it’s pouring with rain; on some days we can postpone your walk for a short while, or we can rearrange your walk for another date. Please call for advice before you leave if the weather is bad.

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

How will it arrive? Our eco-friendly voucher boxes are available for £4.50 and will be sent via Royal Mail first class post. PDF e-vouchers are FREE and emailed shortly after ordering.
