Fused Glass Bird Kits – Experiences at home

A fantastic crafty experience to try at home. Try your hand at creating a fused glass bird – choose from blue tit, rainbow bird, robin and seagull – with these home experience kits. The kit includes everything you need to make a real fused glass item plus return stamps, address label and full instructions to send it back to the studio for firing.
These make great gifts, family activity time , virtual workshops with friends, lockdown treats, or for some mindfulness time and exploring a new craft. You also have access to online support should you need it.
When you have completed your design simply follow the instructions and return the kit to the glass studio (return stamps included) where it will be professionally fired in the kilns and returned back to you once finished and cooled.
What to expect:
Each kit will contain your base glass, glue, brush, tweezers, spray, instructions, frit and stringers.
Once fired in the kiln , the panel is drilled and hung with a heavy duty chain, suitable for outdoor use. If you would prefer your panel with no chain just add a note in your return box.

The Fused Glass Bird Kits are created by Twice Fired a glass studio run by artist and designer Kate Park who is inspired by Pattern, process and pure obsession with nature.
Based in Leeds, a creative hub and home to the inspirational natural surrounding landscape that is Yorkshire, the Twice Fired studio designs and produces exquisite contemporary handmade glass art.
The Contemporary Glass Society has already exhibited two Twice Fired pieces and the British Craft Trade Fair (BCTF) is showcasing a piece in its Harrogate gallery.
