This JCB digging experience gives guests the chance to take control of a mighty earth-moving machine and enjoy a driving experience with a properly unusual twist.

Forget supercars for a moment. This is all about climbing aboard a JCB 3CX backhoe loader, getting to grips with the controls and discovering the very satisfying joy of digging enormous holes. Then filling them back in. Then, naturally, digging them again. Simple? Yes. Ridiculously enjoyable? Also yes.

The 90-minute experience begins with a safety briefing, focusing on machine safety and how to operate the equipment properly, followed by a site induction. Guests will then enjoy around 60 minutes of practical operating time, learning how to handle the digger under expert supervision.

It is a brilliant experience gift for anyone who loves big machines, unusual driving days, construction kit or just the chance to do something they definitely do not get to do every weekend. No previous experience is needed, just a sense of adventure and a willingness to embrace their inner digger driver.

What will I get? You will receive a voucher to use for JCB Digging Experience at Diggerland

  • Duration: Your experience will last for 90 minutes in total.
  • Participants: This event is run on a group basis with one instructor, each participant will have their own dedicated machine.
  • Availability: This experience is available on selected dates, from April to September.
  • Minimum age: To participate in this activity you need to be at least 17 years old.
  • This experience is not normally weather dependent.
  • Fitness / dietary: If you suffer from epilepsy or any other medical condition which prohibits driving then you will not be able to take part.
  • Spectators: The participant & 1 spectator are able to use the rides in the park before and/or after your event free of charge, subject to opening dates & times. Additional spectators need to pay for admission.

How long do I have to use my voucher? You’ll have a total of 12 months to activate your voucher and book your experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

How will it arrive? You can choose eVoucher and you’ll get an email with the voucher shortly after checkout. Or select the ‘By Post’ option. The vouchers will be posted out with Royal Mail.
