The Unique Two Night Stay in York with Handmade Chocolates on Arrival is at independent boutique hotel The Bishop and The Bison in Clifton, York.

Owners Jonathan and Anthony purchased the property in 2019 and have created a unique interpretation of the classic British bed and breakfast founded on the principles of Yorkshire hospitality and British warmth.  The property is a blend of a traditional bed and breakfast, combined with the joys, delights and perks of a boutique hotel.

“Americana à la Victoriana”

The decor is fun and sophisticated and showcases local artwork and that of artists in rural townships in the USA.

The property has been lovingly updated with a nod to the richesse of the great Minster, a thumbs-up to the mighty bison of the American Great Plains, and a firm hug to the comforts of luxury brands, warm velvets, designer wallpapers, and undertones of gold.

The pair are committed to making the property as environmentally friendly as possible and although located in an old Victorian property, they enjoy a low energy efficiency rating and there is minimal use of plastics.
