This experience is perfect for those wanting to discover more about these fascinating insects. During this 3 hour unique experience, enjoy an introduction to beekeeping, and learn the history behind family run, More Bees Please. Discover how, with their goal of trying to combat the declining honey bee population, they create all their honey in the UK in a sustainable manner.
After a fascinating introduction, you will get the chance to taste the delicious honey. Next, enjoy a hands-on interaction with the small but incredible insects. An unforgettable day ideal for any bee enthusiast, it will leave you buzzing!

Yorkshire Beekeeping Experience – Half Day is offered by the amazing apiarists at More Bees Please near Sheffield.
The family run beekeeping business is based in Sheffield & Rotherham. They are passionate about bees and the amazing effect they have on the environment and have set up their own breeding program to improve the quality and disease resistant strain of bees.
With over 200 hives in South Yorkshire & Derbyshire, they are ethical beekeepers, and look after their bees well. During the winter months, they ensure that the bees have enough honey stores to survive the winter, without feeding sugar syrup. They are firmly putting the bees before any profit, unlike most large bee farming companies.
As well as educating people on the importance of bees and ethical beekeeping the family are also artisan producers of the finest award winning honey & beeswax products.
For those wanting a more in depth experience a Full Day Bee Keeping Experience is also available.
The bee keeping experience will take place near Sheffield.
Your half day bee keeping experience will last approximately three hours.

The season runs April to September so experiences must be booked during these months.
The minimum age is 8 years old.
The Half Day Bee Keeping Experience costs £60 for one person.
