Make a weekend of it, on a fabulous Art Experience Day and a one night stay in an award winning Bed and Breakfast in the beautiful market town of Penistone, on the edge of the stunning Peak District National Park. Stay on a Friday or Saturday Night – Bed, Breakfast and Lunch included.

You will be truly pampered by your hosts Paul and Sophie when you arrive at Lyndene Bed and Breakfast and Art Studio. Enjoy your evening in a beautiful en-suite room with fluffy towels, quality bedding, complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. In the morning, enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast in a lovely Victorian dining room, which will set you up for a full day of painting and drawing in a fully equipt art studio.

Paul will introduce you to a range of techniques using a range of mediums, on different surfaces. Drawing, sketching, painting and experimenting with mediums, which could include charcoal, oil pastel, soft pastel, watercolour, acrylics, mixed media and ink. Full demonstrations and support will be given throughout the day and there will be plenty of time to complete a selection of artwork to take home. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits are available throughout the day. Just make sure you leave some room for Sophie’s delicious lunch and dessert!

The art workshop is set in a relaxed and fun atmosphere and is suitable for beginners, intermediate and for those more experienced.

What will I get? You will receive a voucher to redeem against any of the future Art ‘N’ Stay – Full Day Art Experience and One Night Stay.

Anything I should know?

It is possible to attend the art experience on a Saturday, and stay at the accommodation on Saturday night.
The art experience starts on Saturdays at 10am and finishes at approximately 3:30pm.
This course is suitable for adult beginners and artists with some prior experience.
All art materials are provided.
The minimum age is 14 (ages 14 – 18, must be accompanied by an adult).
You will be in a group with other people.How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

Meet your hosts Paul and Sophie - head shot of B&B owners in countryside
Your Art ‘N’ Stay – Full Day Art Experience and One Night Stay will take place at Lyndene. For the last seven years, Paul and Sophie have enjoyed running their Bed and Breakfast and delivering art courses, workshops and experiences. They love what they do! and their dedication shines through when guests stay at their B&B or indulge in an art experience. With a passion for art and hospitality, they work hand in hand to provide a wonderful experience for guests who stay and create art at Lyndene.

Inspired by their surroundings and photography, Paul often creates his own artwork using mainly watercolour, oil and mixed media. He has exhibited his own work in Hong Kong, Dubai and throughout the UK. As well as creating his own artwork, Paul is passionate about teaching art. He has been an art educator for over 30 years and has designed and delivered courses and workshops to adults and children, all over the world.

The workshops at Lyndene Art Studio are set in a relaxed atmosphere, where everyone is made to feel very welcome. People regularly attend a course whilst combining a visit to the beautiful Peak District National Park.
