Perfect for beginners, younger riders or anyone who fancies getting a little closer to horses, this relaxed Brush and Ride Session combines an introduction to horse riding with some proper pony pampering.

The experience begins with a 30-minute woodland ride, where riders are shown the basics in a friendly, supportive setting. They’ll learn how to sit comfortably in the saddle, start, stop and steer their horse, before having a go at trotting when they’re ready.

Back on solid ground, it’s time to get hands-on with a pony brushing session. They’ll discover how to use four different types of grooming brush and enjoy spending some quieter time getting to know the pony.

Lasting around one hour in total, this beginner-friendly horse riding experience makes a brilliant gift for animal lovers, budding riders and anyone who would love to spend some quality time with the friendly horses at Grenoside Equestrian.

Suitable for equestrian enthusiasts from the age of 4 upwards, all staff are CRB checked, licensed and fully insured.

Please note there is a maximum weight limit of 13 stones (80kgs) for this experience.

Located in Sheffield, Grenoside Equestrian Centre is a friendly and welcoming equestrian school. With a team of qualified and experienced instructors offering lessons and hacks for all ages and all abilities.

The centre has acres of woods and fields for hacking, a cross country course and a 20 x 40 metre menage to learn new skills, practice old ones and have bags of fun!
