Learn to make a chocolate bar in York, the city that smells of chocolate (if you visit on the right day!) and the home of many well-loved chocolate brands and bars.

At the chocolate academy of York Cocoa Works you will learn how to create your very own chocolate bar whilst also finding out a little bit about the humble cocoa bean. Best of all you will need to experiment (taste) lots of different flavours to perfect your masterpiece. Once the chocolate has set you’ll finish off by packaging your bar before taking it home to enjoy at your leisure.

What to expect:

Find out where cocoa comes from and it’s history
Learn about the chocolate manufacturing process at the York Cocoa Works site
Try a selection of York Cocoa Work’s very own white, milk and dark chocolate
Work with your chosen chocolate to mould and design a chocolate bar
Flavour & Decorate your chocolate bar
Beautifully wrap your chocolate creation to take away with you
You will take home a 200g chocolate bar.

Children under 5 are welcome to assist full paying participants in the creation of a chocolate bar.

What will I get? You will receive a voucher to redeem against any of the future Chocolate Bar Making Experience in York for One Person.

This is a chocholate bar making experience where you will create your very own 200g chocolate bar to take home and enjoy. Children under 5 are welcome to assist full paying participants in the creation of a chocolate bar.

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

How will it arrive? Our eco-friendly voucher boxes are available for £4.50 and will be sent via Royal Mail first class post. PDF e-vouchers are FREE and emailed shortly after ordering.
