This three day engaging and hands-on course is suitable for students of all abilities, and no previous experience is required. You will use a variety of tools and learn techniques to create a beautiful side table to take home.
Your qualified and experienced teacher, Finbarr Lucas, will share with you the knowledge he has gained from 25 years of furniture-making to help you achieve fantastic results in just three days.
What to expect:
The course takes students through the process of creating a beautiful side table from hardwood timber. You will use a combination of hand tools and machinery, and learn the best way to measure, mark and cut the joints for this piece of furniture. All materials and tools are provided, and each student will have bench space with a vice.
Working at your own pace, and with as little or as much help as you need, you will be guided through the woodworking process in Finbarr’s wonderful green-roofed workshop.
At the end of the three-day course you will have transformed oak timber pieces into a beautifully sanded and finished oak side-table that you will treasure forever.
Price includes tea and coffee, and home-made treats.
