This is an experience designed to detox, cleanse and relax. With the combined effects of a 30 minute infrared sauna session and a 60 minute floatation therapy session you will hopefully leave the peaceful surrounds of Redmayne Lodge in a blissfully relaxed state.
Infrared Sauna Therapy promotes relaxation by helping to balance your body’s level of cortisol, your body’s primary stress hormone. The heat generated by the sauna will also help to relax muscles and relieve tension throughout the body, allowing you to relax and de-stress. By increasing circulation and relaxing muscles the session can also help relieve pain whilst eliminating unwanted toxins through sweating.
Floatation Therapy involves being immersed in a pod with water that is heated to optimum body temperature. The water is combined with an intense solution of Epsom salt which creates the necessary conditions for your body to effortlessly float on the surface of the water.
You will enjoy intense relaxation due to the sound proof and light proof conditions which give your mind the chance to disconnect from the constant bombardment of sensory input. This in turn enhances your ability to be cognitive, mindful and introspective.

The infrared sauna and floatation tank session takes place at Redmayne Lodge in Strensall near York. Redmayne Lodge is a unique floatation and therapy centre which offers a range of therapeutic and holistic treatments.
The centre has two floatation therapy rooms and one infra red sauna.
There is ample, free parking onsite.

The infrared sauna session lasts 30 minutes and the floatation therapy session lasts 60 minutes. The whole experience lasts 90 minutes.

You must be 18+ to use the facilities. You will not be allowed to use the facilities if you have any of the following conditions: open wounds, cuts, ear infections, epilepsy, schizophrenia. You must not visit under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
