This is a group activity for up to 6 people which gives you an introduction to some favourite Italian dishes. This is a must for all Italian food lovers! An example of some of the dishes you will learn how to make on the day could include: fresh pasta, rosemary foccacia, sweet leek and mascarpone sauce, biscotti biscuits, tipsy tiramisu, panettone bread & butter pudding, orange polenta cake, ravioli and pizza. Mama Mia!!

Your workshop includes a delicious lunch which will be made and shared by the group. Teas and coffees will be provided throughout the day.

You will each take home a selection of the dishes you have made plus a fabulous Yorkshire cheese to enjoy.

For an additional £16 per person you can add a personalised apron to your order. There is a choice of colours available. Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing aprons and we will be in touch to find out your name and colour choices.

What will I get? You will receive a voucher to redeem against any of the future Italian cookery workshop for 6 people near Sheffield.

  • This type of course is more suited to adults but school aged children are also welcome provided they are accompanied by an adult carer.
  • This workshop can take place on any day of the week.

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

Italian cookery workshop for 6 people in Penistone near Sheffield

Jacqui Marsden of Penistone Pies and Puddings runs the Italian cookery workshop from her farmhouse kitchen in Penistone near Sheffield.

She makes her pies using a recipe that has been in her family for three generations and using a piece of machinery that her grandfather bought in an auction of Second World War army surplus equipment in the 1940s. The vintage pie-making machine ‘Little Champion’ was sold in the 1970’s when Jacqui’s grandfather sold his business but returned to the family by chance when her father, also a pork pie maker, bought it from a seller in the local newspaper.

Other workshops from Penistone Pies include: a pork pie and picallili making workshop, a pork pie and pasty making workshop and a family cookery workshop.
