Leeds Heritage Waterfront Audio Tour and Quiz Challenge
The waterfront in Leeds City Centre has a rich, interesting, and sometimes amusing history! This audio tour explores this in detail, with narration by local expert Mike. The tour begins outside Marshalls Mill in the old industrial heartland of Leeds, meanders along the river and canal side, and finishes by Leeds Minster. Take in stories of great architecture and people, as well as strange tales of ghostly happenings and witchcraft.
Stops include additional galleries to look at old maps and images of the area and there are some optional multiple-choice quiz questions throughout the tour needing you to explore stops more closely to find the answers. Register for the quiz leaderboard to see how you compare against other.
This is a family-friendly tour with an accessible route option included, meaning there is something for everyone. Drinks discounts have also been arranged at some of the venues along the way, for tour ticket holders.
To participate on this tour, a smart phone or tablet is required. Once a ticket has been bought or a code redeemed in the app, you can re-visit this map anytime until the pass expires. For full functionality, once installed please allow the app to use GPS on the smart device and allow it to work in the background. Without stopping, the tour takes around 2 hours to complete.

Leeds Waterfront Walk Self Guided Tour
The Leeds Waterfront Walk Self Guided Tour has been created by Beer Evangelist and founder of Tours of Leeds, Mike.
Mike is passionate about beer! Not just the drink itself but its role in heritage, society and culture. The story of beer is a fascinating one nowhere more so than in Leeds, where there is a rich beer history and a fantastically vibrant, modern and independent craft beer scene.
Mike has been professionally trained by the Beer and Cider Academy and is a member of the British Guild of Beer Writers and Brewery History Society, founder of Festival of Brewers and National Coordinator for Tryanuary.
He first set up his tours in 2019 to share his knowledge of beer with other people and to take them on a fun and interesting journey. Less than a year later, he was awarded the Leeds and West Yorkshire Prestige Award for Specialist Tour Company of the Year 2020.
The Leeds Waterfront Walk Self Guided Tour takes place at a selection of locations in Leeds city centre.
