Rum Tasting Masterclass for Two at Brewhouse & Kitchen in Chester

This rum masterclass for two is a brilliant gift for anyone who enjoys discovering new drinks, bold flavours and a little expert knowledge served alongside the good stuff.

Hosted by Brewhouse and Kitchen and guided by one of their rum experts, this relaxed tasting experience takes guests through the rich history and origins of rum, from sugar cane to distillation, ageing and the different styles that make rum such a varied and fascinating spirit. Educational? Yes. Delicious? Also yes.

During the session, guests will enjoy six rum tastings from a selection of styles, which may include golden, aged, spiced and flavoured rums. The expert host will explain the tasting notes for each rum, helping guests pick out the different aromas, flavours and characteristics in every sip.

Personalised tasting note sheets are included, giving guests the chance to record their favourites as they go. Aromatic Kilner jars filled with spices and sugar cane will also be showcased during the class, adding an extra sensory element to the experience.

To finish, guests will watch a demonstration of the classic Dark & Stormy cocktail before receiving a certificate of completion. A lovely touch, because frankly, surviving six rum tastings deserves official recognition.
