Join the team at Cooper King for a guided tour of England’s only self-built whisky and gin distillery, situated in picturesque countryside 10 miles north of York. At Cooper King sustainable spirits are distilled from their self-built distillery powered by 100% renewable energy making them England’s first carbon-negative gin producers.
Discover the adventurous story behind the distillery and understand how their sustainable spirits are made. They’ll introduce you to state-of-the-art vacuum gin distillation and their wonderful Tasmanian copper pot whisky still – the only one of its kind in Europe.
Finally enjoy complimentary tasters thrown in for good measure in the cosy tasting room and shop.

Cooper King Whisky and Gin Distillery Tour near York for Two People
The Whisky and Gin Distillery Tour takes place just 10 miles from York city centre at the craft distillery run by founders Abbie and Chris.
Once a scientist and an architect the pair left their jobs and the UK in 2014 and set off to Australia in search of adventure. In Tasmania they were inspired by the local craft whisky distillers and their dream to run a truly independent craft distillery back home in the UK was born.
Today they have realised their dream of establishing a sustainable distillery which focuses on flavour and authenticity to bring unique and exceptional spirits to the table which has been their goal from the outset.
It’s time to swap mass-produced bland spirit for something more adventurous.
Tours take place at the Cooper King Distillery in Sutton on the Forest near York.
Tours are 1.5 hours long and end with a complimentary drink in the tasting room.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.

- If you have a £20 add on voucher it is to be used in full on the same day as the tour, no change can be given
