A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an hour, sampling the full York Gin range in their beautiful city centre shop, Sir Thomas Herbert’s House, opposite the famous Shambles every Friday and Saturday from 6.30pm.

Here’s what the hour-long tasting includes:
- A full G&T on arrival (a perfect serve of the gold award-winning London Dry and Fever-Tree Light).
- Generous tasters of each of the other five gins – with brilliant tasting tips from your York Gin expert host
- A history of gin: the fascinating and hilarious legends and stories associated with a York Gin favourite spirit.
- Towards the end of the tasting, you’ll choose your favourite York Gin for another full G&T to round off the evening.

Gin Tasting in York with York Gin
Gin Tasting in York with York Gin takes place in the historic York Gin shop of a small independent distillery making some of the world’s finest gins.
The York Gin Distillery which is based in Poppleton is one of several award-winning gin makers in the county.
The York Gin Company company began as an idea cooked up in one of York’s finest independent pubs, The Swan.
A group of friends (and the landlord) decided it was time for the city to have its own gin company. Since its launch in 2018, York Gin has created a range of gins that have won multiple gold medals at the world’s top spirits competitions. The name York Gin is synonymous with the finest quality.
Gin Tastings are hosted in the York Gin Shop, 12 Pavement, YO1 9UP every Friday and Saturday from 6:30pm.
Gin Tasting at York Gin takes approximately one hour.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.

Gin Tasting in York with York Gin costs £30 for the Gin Tasting Event and £59 for the Gin Tasting Event plus a large bottle of York Gin.
