This family treasure hunt experience is a brilliant way for guests to get everyone out, working together and exploring somewhere new. Perfect for families who fancy something a little different, it combines clues, challenges and a healthy dose of friendly competition. Who gets crowned chief clue-cracker? That’s where things get interesting.

Guests can choose from driving treasure hunts or walking scavenger hunts, depending on location and availability. The driving treasure hunts use a fun interactive app instead of a map or sat nav, with quiz-based clues guiding the route and points recorded along the way. Families can test their teamwork, keep an eye on the leaderboard and see whether they have what it takes to score bragging rights.

The walking scavenger hunts take place in selected North West, North East and  Yorkshire city locations, using a downloadable PDF pack filled with route clues and prompts. Along the way, guests will gather answers, spot details, take photos and discover more about their surroundings.

Both options usually take around 1.5 to 2 hours, making this a fun, flexible family day out that is easy to plan and enjoyable for different ages. Whether guests are exploring by car or on foot, it is a lovely way to make memories, spark a bit of adventure and turn an ordinary day into a mini mission.

  • Participants: There is no maximum group size for this experience, although larger parties may want to split into smaller groups.
  • Availability: You can choose the date and time you wish to do the treasure hunt, throughout the year.
  • Minimum age: There is no minimum age for this experience, however it is recommended for 8 years and older.
  • This experience is not normally weather dependent.
  • Fitness / dietary: You need to have the ability to walk for 3 hours.
  • Spectators: This experience is not suitable for spectators, but an unlimited number of people can take part.

How long do I have to use my voucher? You’ll have a total of 12 months to activate your voucher and book your experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

How will it arrive? You can choose eVoucher and you’ll get an email with the voucher shortly after checkout. Or select the ‘By Post’ option. The vouchers will be posted out with Royal Mail.
