Yorkshire Appetite Food Tours brings you an Afternoon Tea with a difference.  You will have a short walking tour around the cultural centre of Harrogate learning about the Victorian tradition of Afternoon Tea that has been a key social event in Harrogate’s character, both today and in the past. You will then enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea in the Palm Court Café, while brushing up on your Afternoon Tea Etiquette!

You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide and you will find out how Afternoon Tea was such a huge part of the Victorian social scene of the town.   The tea and its accompanying delights will ensure you are feeling more than satisfied.

The Group Afternoon Tea Tour with a little extra Harrogate style is hosted by Kay Atkinson and her company Yorkshire Appetite.

Kay loves nothing more than wandering around a new place soaking up the sounds and smells, finding out about history and culture and getting a feel for a place and finally, trying local foods and drinks. Hence her reason for starting Yorkshire Appetite.

Afternoon Tea was such an integral part of the social life of Harrogate in its Victorian Spa heyday and is still a key part of the Harrogate experience today. Kay wanted to add a little history and context to the wonderful experience by adding an extra insight into the history of this traditional pastime.

What will I get? You will receive a voucher to redeem against any of the future Group Afternoon Tea Tour with a little extra Harrogate style.

Anything I should know?

Minimum group size is 5 people.

Tours are available Monday to Sunday.

The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. In the event of inclement weather, you will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour.

For anyone with a dietary restriction – vegetarian, gluten free, allergy etc. a suitable alternative can be arranged with plenty of advance notice.

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

How will it arrive? Our eco-friendly voucher boxes are available for £4.50 and will be sent via Royal Mail first class post. PDF e-vouchers are FREE and emailed shortly after ordering.
