A lovely gift for friends and family or a terrific treat for yourself. Join the team from Cosy Cottage Soap in their Malton workshop for fun filled, two hours of palm oil free soap-making! You will make six bars of your own signature, cold process soap to take home.

You will make your palm oil free soap from vegetable oils and waxes using the cold process soap-making method. This method is a natural process, no melt-and-pour synthetic soap bases are used. You will then personalise your soap using dried flowers, fruit, exfoliants and fragrances to create your own unique soap.

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

Natural Soap Making Experience near York

Clara business owner at Cosy CottageThe Natural Soap Making Experience near York is run by the team at Cosy Cottage in Malton. Clara from Cosy Cottage started her business producing handmade soaps in the kitchen laboratory of her 350-year-old cottage in Ganthorpe, Yorkshire.

Whilst recovering from breast cancer, founder, Clara, became concerned about the harmful effects of detergents like SLS, preservatives like parabens and other additives found in many commercially produced skincare products. ​

Using her knowledge as a qualified chemist and an Associate of the Royal College of Science, she began by producing natural soaps free from sulphates, free from paraben and free from palm oil, from home.

In 2019 Cosy Cottage moved their manufacturing to the pretty market town of Malton where they also opened a shop in 2o20 from which they run their popular workshops.
