A wonderful gift to enjoy with friends and family or a fabulous treat for yourself. Enjoy a fun, two hour soy wax natural candle making experience where you will make two large candles or a collection of smaller candles and tea lights to take home with you.
All of your candles will be fragranced with your own choice of natural essential oils and essential oil blends rather than synthetic fragrances. The session will start with warm drinks and cake, before everyone settles down for a session of learning and crafting together.
What to expect:
- Learn all about 100% soy wax container candle-making in Cosy Cottage Soap’s Malton workshop
- Create your own, unique fragrance blend using natural, essential oils
- Make your own signature fragranced, 100% soy wax container candles
- While your candles are setting, decorate a (pre-made) 30cl container candle in your own unique style
Soy Wax Natural Candle Making Experience near York
The Soy Wax Natural Candle Making Experience is run by the team at Cosy Cottage in Malton. Clara from Cosy Cottage started her business producing handmade soaps in the kitchen laboratory of her 350-year-old cottage in Ganthorpe, Yorkshire.
Whilst recovering from breast cancer, founder, Clara, became concerned about the harmful effects of detergents like SLS, preservatives like parabens and other additives found in many commercially produced skincare products.
Using her knowledge as a qualified chemist and an Associate of the Royal College of Science, she began by producing natural soaps free from sulphates, free from paraben and free from palm oil, from home.
In 2019 Cosy Cottage moved their manufacturing to the pretty market town of Malton. They also opened a shop in 2o20 from which they run their popular workshops.
Soy wax candle making sessions will be held in Malton at 3 Navigation Wharf, Yorkersgate, YO17 7AA
Candle making sessions are approximately 2 hours
