You’ll learn all about how the founders swapped their corporate desk jobs for life at the distillery and how they created their award winning gin inspired by the landscape around them.

The One Hour Gin Tour at Whitby Distillery is offered by Whitby Distillery.
Whitby Distillery was founded by Jessica Slater and Luke Pentith after a camping trip to the Outer Hebrides. They were so impressed by the islands’ artisan gin-makers that they’d soon swapped their desks for the distillery and traded the daily commute for foraging in the open air.
Their vision was to create a quality gin which would celebrate the diverse natural landscape of the place we’re lucky enough to call home.
It didn’t take long to establish their signature botanicals: heather foraged from the North York Moors, sugar kelp and local honey, each selected to champion one element of the North Yorkshire coastline.

The gin distillery tour and tasting lasts one hour.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.
- Over 18’s only.
- soft drink option will be made available on arrival for those not drinking.
- Tours run 3 days a week. Friday and Saturday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm with Sunday tours running at 11am and 1pm.
- No dogs on the tours.
- The tour and facilities are wheelchair accessible.
