A behind the scenes look at craft cider making

A lovely experience for craft cider enthusiasts and anyone with an interest in traditional cider making. A particularly great gift for couples and parents.
On this craft cider experience you will start with a guided walk of the five acre orchard learning about the varieties of apples used in the cider making process.
Then head over to the cidery where you’ll go behind the scenes and find out about the process involved in producing award winning ciders. From pressing the apples to fermentation and bottling with some interesting insight from Thornborough’s master cider producers.
Finish off the experience with a tasting of at least four of the ciders. These typically include some single variety ciders, some straight from the tanks and some of the award winning blends.
The orchard is a five minute walk from the cidery and unfortunately isn’t wheelchair accessible. However, there is a beautiful garden to relax in for anyone who can’t make it to the orchard.

The Yorkshire Cider Tour and Tasting Experience takes place at Thornborough Cider near Bedale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
Their commitment to sustainability drives every aspect of their operations, from orchard management to packaging materials. They strive to minimise environmental footprint and reduce reliance on fossil fuels at every turn.
They invite people to connect with the land, the orchards, and their cidermaking process through events, tastings, and education.
Your experience will take place at Thornborough, Bedale, North Yorkshire DL8 2RE
The experience will last approximately 2 hours.

Experience includes walk round the orchard, so appropriate footwear and clothing recommended.
Vegan and gluten free
The orchard is about 5 minutes walk from the cider shed and, while the cidery is wheelchair friendly, unfortunately the orchard isn’t... but there’s a beautiful garden to relax in for anyone that can’t make it up to the orchard.
