Sourdough Baking Masterclass at Mamars in Warrington

This sourdough baking masterclass at Mamars is a hands-on workshop for home bakers who want to refine their technique, understand their dough and bake better bread with more confidence.

Led by Sonia, owner and head baker at Mamars in Warrington, this artisan baking class is designed for guests who already have some baking knowledge and are ready to take their sourdough skills to the next level. Whether they have made a few loaves at home or are keen to understand the science behind a really good rise, this workshop goes deeper into the details that make all the difference.

During the session, guests will explore fermentation, hydration, shaping, scoring and baking, learning how small changes can transform the texture, flavour and appearance of their bread. Sonia will also share the practical techniques she uses in the bakery, helping guests troubleshoot common sourdough problems and feel more confident working with dough at home.

The masterclass includes hands-on dough work, guidance on starter maintenance and plenty of expert tips for achieving more consistent results.

At the end of the class, guests will take home at least one freshly baked sourdough loaf, their own dough to bake at home and a sourdough culture so they can keep practising long after the workshop has finished.
