Led by passionate growers Niall and Ed, guests will be guided through the farm’s climate-controlled growing rooms and shown every stage of the mushroom-growing process – from spore to spectacular harvest.

This 45-minute experience isn’t just about learning; it’s hands-on too. Guests will have time to chat, ask questions, and discover why mushrooms are one of nature’s most extraordinary foods. A warming hot drink is included, and to top it all off, everyone gets the chance to hand-pick their own mushrooms to take home for dinner – fresher than fresh!

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

How will it arrive? Our eco-friendly voucher boxes are available for £4.50 and will be sent via Royal Mail first class post. PDF e-vouchers are FREE and emailed shortly after ordering.

The Yorkshire Mushroom Farm Tours are run by the Yorkshire Mushroom Emporium, the brainchild of five school friends from West Yorkshire.

Their aim is to revolutionise their local food network with their sustainable, low tech mushroom farm in Ilkley. The mushrooms are grown on waste coffee grounds collected from local businesses which would usually just go to waste.

They have big plans to help the world by bringing sustainably-grown British produce to local people and want to lead the way in alternative food production by staying true to their vision of fresh, organic, and delicious produce, grown in an environmentally and socially sustainable way.
