If you’re a rum enthusiast or simply looking for a unique experience, Liquor Studio offers the North of England’s only Spiced Rum Creation Experience — a two hour, fun-filled, blending adventure. You’ll take part in an interactive journey through the world of rum and the science of taste.
The experience begins in the flavour room, where you will be guided through the rich history and diverse styles of rum during a comprehensive tasting session. This is followed by a series of fun experiments to help you understand how you taste.
With this new-found knowledge, you’ll move into the Blending Room, where you can explore a range of handcrafted spiced and tropical distillates. Select your favourites and craft your own unique blend. You’ll leave with a 70cl bottle of your very own blended rum, complete with a custom label, to take home and enjoy.
What to expect:

Arrive at the Studio and have a Rum & Ginger as you meet your Rumstructor.

In the tasting room enjoy a rum-fuelled lesson with interactive experiments.

Followed by a rum tasting which highlights different styles of rum, which of course includes samples!

More rum… enjoy a quick cocktail which leads nicely onto the 2nd part of the Rum Creation Experience.

Enter the Blending Room and using the skills you’ve learned in the tasting room you’ll move to your very own work station where you’ll be shown how to blend your own spiced rum.

Once you’ve perfected your recipe, you’ll create a 70cl bottle with a personlised label.

The Spiced Rum Creation Classes in Leeds take place at The Liquor Studio. This creative space in the heart of Leeds is a mecca for all things drinks and hospitality. Run by the award winning team behind Hedonist Bar the Liquor Studio is a place dedicated to great food and drink where the general public and industry professionals alike can learn from Dan & Jon’s many years of experience in training, teaching & creating all things alcohol. With the specific aim of having fun and learning something at the same time.
Virtually the team at Liquor Studio run a series of group activities for 6 people or more including: online cocktail masterclass with a mixologist via zoom, online gin creation classes, online spiced rum creation classes and an online gin tasting experience.
The team also run a gin tasting experience in Leeds, a cocktail masterclass and a spiced rum creation experience at their premises in Leeds.
The spiced rum creation sessions are held in Leeds city centre.
This is a two hour experience.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.
You must be 18+ to enjoy this experience. Spiced Rum Creation Experiences run on Saturdays at 3pm. Extra sessions are available for groups of 6 and more. Liquor Studio is located on the first floor of the building, due to the age & layout of the building there are no lifts/ramps for access.
The spiced rum creation experience costs £89.95 per person and includes all a 50cl bottle of bespoke blended spiced rum.
