A fully immersive smallholder farming experience
A fantastic experience for anyone interested in local farming or with aspirations to set up a small holding of their own. This is a fully engaging, hands-on experience in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park where you will have the opportunity to learn more about caring for the animals on the farm including Highland cattle, British breed pigs, goats, chickens and the South Devon beef herd.
Your 3.5-hour farm experience starts with a few jobs on the farm followed by a traditional, hearty English Breakfast in the onsite, award-winning café. You’ll get a chance to chat about what you’d like to get from the experience and ask any questions.

As part of the experience, you will also help feed the Highland cattle as well as help to move the stock depending on the time of year.
The rare breed pigs will also need feeding and possibly moving and there is always mucking out for the energetic!
