This Family Sheep Meet & Greet offers a relaxed and memorable animal experience just outside York, ideal for families looking to enjoy time together in a peaceful rural setting.

Guests will meet Keith, Kenny and Lennie, three Valais Blacknose sheep known for their distinctive appearance and calm, friendly nature. Originating from Switzerland, Valais Blacknose sheep are a rare breed in the UK and have become much loved for their fluffy coats and gentle temperament. These sheep are comfortable around people and enjoy close interaction, making them well suited to a family meet and greet.

The experience takes place at Suncliffe Beacon Farm, located on the edge of the North York Moors. The farm enjoys open views across the Vale of York and towards the White Horse of Kilburn, providing a calm and scenic backdrop for the visit.

The session lasts approximately 45 minutes. It begins with a short health and safety briefing, followed by around 30 minutes spent with the sheep, allowing time for gentle interaction, cuddles and photographs. Hot or cold drinks are provided at the end of the experience.

All sessions are private and suitable for all ages and physical abilities, making this a thoughtful family experience that combines animal interaction, countryside views and unhurried time together.

Morning meet and greets start at either 10am or 11:30am and the afternoon meet and greets start at either 1pm or 2:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

How long do I have to book? You’ll have a total of 12 months from the date of purchase – 6 months to activate your voucher code, and 6 months from activation to book your chosen experience.

Can I exchange it? All of our vouchers are fully flexible. The recipient may swap to another experience if they don’t want the one that has been suggested.

How will it arrive? Our eco-friendly voucher boxes are available for £4.50 and will be sent via Royal Mail first class post. PDF e-vouchers are FREE and emailed shortly after ordering.
