Professional woodturners Dan Smith & Katie Armstrong will teach you the basics of woodturning while you create a unique item to take home. By the end of the session you will have the basic knowledge, techniques and safety to enjoy this amazing pastime at home.

What to expect on the day:

Meet and greet over refreshments at 9:30am
A hands on morning of woodturning, learning the basic of tools and safety.
Lunch will be provided and normally consists of a quality Yorkshire sandwich from the local sandwich shop
An afternoon of turning. Each student will progress at different rates so there will be a range of projects that will cater to everyone’s developing skills. These include: candle sticks, bottle openers, bottle stopper, pens, bowls… and many more!
At approximately 4pm it’s time to head home with finished items in hand after having had a fun day.

10% discount codes will be issued to all students on completion of their lessons and cover a selected range or woodturning essentials and projects.

The course will take place in the teaching classroom in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. The workshop is equipped with the highest quality machines and tools.
Each course will have a maximum of 2 people per lesson.
