A brilliant one or two hour pottery throwing experience from Jasmine Studios in Wakefield. This experience makes a great date night activity to enjoy with a loved one, a fun catch up with friends or a lovely parent and child activity where you can both get messy and have a play with clay.
In the 1 hour experience you will get the opportunity to make 1 pot on the wheel with step by step guidance and a demonstration. You will then get to decorate your bowl using coloured slips which is liquid clay. Your pot will then be bisq fired and a clear glaze applied to your pot. It will then be fired again so that you have a finished glazed pot ready to collect in three weeks.
In the 2 hour experience you will get the opportunity to make 2 vessels and decorate both in coloured slips. Once again each pot will go through two firings and it will be finished in a clear glaze.
For children aged 9-15 please select the 1 hour session which is run slightly differently.

Pottery Wheel Throwing Experience in West Yorkshire is brought to you by Jasmine Pottery Studios, a small independent pottery studio in Wakefield. Naomi opened up the studio after working in the community teaching outreach classes in art and wanted to create a community space that makes clay and pottery accessible to everyone.
I set out to create a positive and friendly environment to share my skills and bring the joy of clay and pottery to everyone. I aim to make classes affordable, inclusive, engaging and accessible to all ages and abilities.
This pottery throwing experience will take place at Jasmine Studios pottery workshop in Wakefield.
The experience will last 1 or 2 hours depending on which option you select.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.
You will be given an apron to wear however you may get some clay on you when throwing so please bear this in mind. You will also need to tie up long hair and where possible have short nails.

The one hour pottery throwing session costs £46 and the two hour session costs £75
