Ready to level up your pottery game? This two-hour hands-on pottery throwing session at Jasmine Studios in Wakefield is perfect for anyone wanting to get stuck in (literally) and make something truly special. Whether you’re planning a quirky date, catching up with a mate, or bonding with your teen, this creative experience ticks all the boxes for fun, mindful, and memory-making gift ideas.
You’ll kick things off with a demo from the talented studio team before diving into the clay yourself. Over the two hours, you’ll have the chance to throw two unique pieces on the wheel, learning traditional pottery techniques along the way. Once you’ve shaped your masterpieces, you’ll decorate them with coloured slips (that’s fancy talk for liquid clay), adding your own creative flair.
Both pots will be lovingly bisque fired, glazed with a clear finish, and popped back in the kiln for their final fire-up. After around three weeks, you’ll be able to collect your fully finished, shiny glazed creations – dishwasher-safe proof that you nailed it.

Naomi opened up the studio after working in the community teaching outreach classes in art and wanted to create a community space that makes clay and pottery accessible to everyone.
