This package includes use of the Thermal Rooms.
Housed in two beautiful vaulted cellars, our thermal treatment rooms are based on ancient Roman bathhouses which were the height of luxury in Roman times. The rooms are dry heat rooms with exposed stone work, soft lighting, gentle music, calming aromas and relaxing loungers, all designed to aid meditation, calm your energy and create harmony. Use of the thermal rooms will also increase circulation, sooth sensory nerve endings, purify your skin, increase metabolism and relax your muscles fibres in preparation for your spa treatments. The gentle warmth will soothe your spirit and allow your cares to drift away.
Your thermal journey will start in the Laconium where you can relax for 20-25 minutes before moving to a central area offering a cooler space for a refreshing drink before you move to the second room, our Tepidarium, complete with a beautiful Himalayan salt brick wall.

Our Ultimate Pampering Plus Thermal Rooms Experience takes place at Alexandra House, one of the North’s leading holistic health and well-being spas. The spa is housed in a historic building that has been carefully restored and revived into a stunning wellness retreat, tucked away on the outskirts of Huddersfield.
At this most peaceful of sanctuaries, friendly faces are assured, a warm greeting is guaranteed and kicking off your shoes is expected. Your pampering experience will be delivered by an outstanding team of experienced professionals who are on hand to make sure you have the ultimate holistic spa experience.
Whether you’re looking to improve your inner peace, relieve anxiety and stress or simply need some time out for pure self-indulgence and relaxation, our ultimate pampering experience at Alexandra House is the perfect escape.
The luxurious Ultimate Pampering Experience takes place at Alexandra House Holistic Health and Wellbeing Spa, 128 Halifax Old Road, Birkby, Huddersfield, HD2 2RL.
Your Ultimate Pampering Plus Thermal Rooms Experience will last 3.5 hours.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.
Arriving at the spa:
Packages are scheduled to allow time for changing and movement around the spa. You do not need to arrive more than 5-10 minutes prior to the time stated in your booking.
Footwear:
Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the Spa area – slippers are provided for guests to wear or you are welcome to bring your own.
Robes:
Complimentary robes are provided. If you have booked the thermal rooms, please bring swimwear.
Minimum age:Any child under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult and a disclaimer form signed.
Contraindications to treatments:
There are some contraindications to some treatments. Treatments are carried out subject to the completion of a Medical Client Questionnaire. If you have any conditions that should be taken into account, for example heart conditions, high/low blood pressure, circulatory disorders, epilepsy, arthritis/rheumatism, recent surgery, diabetes, allergies or pregnancy, you should seek the advice of your doctor before booking a treatment. If you do not let the spa know of any special requirements at the time of booking they cannot guarantee that they will be able to fully accommodate you on your visit. If any treatment is found unsuitable an alternative will be recommended where possible.

To have a boxed and gift wrapped voucher sent by post will cost an additional £3.50.
