An excellent early morning introduction to York some of the city’s historical sights. You’ll also discover some of York’s best-kept breakfast secrets.
You’ll start bright and early, with the morning light on York Minster at its quietest time of day. There you’ll meet your local guide and set out on a walking tour that’ll introduce some of the city’s hidden gems while tantalizing your taste buds.
Visit a charming local bakery, where you’ll take your pick from a cup of tea or freshly brewed coffee paired with a tasty pastry.
Next you’ll wander through York’s cobbled streets and soak in the atmosphere at the best possible time of day. Climb onto the medieval walls that surround the city, take in the sights, discover secret gardens, and get plenty of photo opportunities before the crowds arrive.
Visit a rustic Colombian eatery for some traditional South American treats, including hearty breakfast arepas and Spanish churros and your last stop is right by York’s famous Shambles, where you’ll indulge in a breakfast galette from the finest pancake maker in the city!

There is a hidden gems food tour and also a group vegan food tour offered for non meat-eaters, plus a breakfast walking tour to catch York at it’s best and an eco food tour.
You will visit 3 food and drink venues around York during your tour.
Each tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
All of our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against any of our listed experiences. The recipient may exchange their voucher if they don't like the experience they have been bought. Just see our FAQs for details.
The breakfast tour will run over the summer months until the end of September/October. Tours run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8.30am.
Vegan and vegetarian diets can be catered for.
Cancellation policy: Tickets are refundable or exchangeable up to 7 days prior to the scheduled event.
The tour can be offered as vegetarian-friendly. If vegetarian, please specify when booking. Unfortunately, the tour cannot be made gluten-free.
Group size: minimum 4 people, maximum 12 people.
Minimum age: 8 years.
